Planned amendment of CSCL cabinet order

CSCL cabinet order will be amended in the following three points.

The first is introduction of environmental release volume limit according to the CSCL 2017 amendment.

The second is designation of new class 1 specified chemicals, namely short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCP) and decabromodiphenyl ether (DBDE) to implement the recent amendment of Annexes of the Stockholm Convention on POPs.

The last is withdrawal of some essential uses.

Public comment was done. The cabinet order is expected to be adopted by the cabinet in February and to enter into force in April 1st, 2017.
